The Game

There are once a territorial serpent who saw a dormant island which is the Perhentian Island and the guardian thought it was a free. However, there is a guardian serpent defend the island from the pesky territorial serpent. Meanwhile, islanders are attack by a swarm of snakes and bit the islanders. So it is up to Adek to save the islanders by taking the special flower to heal the islanders which is named: Akar Cina Putih

Akar Cina Putih is an adventure 2D platformmer game with local Malaysian atmosphere and scenery.

Legendary Story

The game is inspired by a legend in Pulau Perhentian which located in Terengganu,Malaysia. According to legend, a large serpent once protected Pulau Perhentian.

Unique Game Art

The game art design was inspired by "Wayang Kulit" also known as shadow puppet. The illustration style that was used was inspired by sticker die cuts.

Local Scenery

In the game, you will experience the local scenery and atmosphere in Malaysia such as coconut trees and kampung houses which a traditional Malaysian village houses.

Easy Gameplay

In Akar Cina Putih, the gameplay is easy to follow with simple and basic controls which is suitable for all ages.

Fish Maniacs

This is the team who created Akar Cina Putih. The team came up with a funny name which is call The Fish Maniacs. Fish Maniacs only consist two funny and creative students. Please scroll down to find out more about them.

Riana Liau

Riana is responsible for drawing and creating all the graphics works and assets in the game. She also did the animations in the game.  She is also the one who think about the level design in the game.

Leong Jiayi

Jiayi works as a game programmer such as translating design ideas into functional game code in this game project. Aside from that, she also contribute the overall game design concept and story line
